How it Was Made

How it was made: the game

The first thing I did when making the game was look up a video on how to get scaling done. Scaling is a way to render how far away an object is from the camera so the light would be different if it’s closer it’s bigger and farther it’s smaller. But if the lighting is done wrong you get this 2D effect where it looks super bad. It’s like a doom one where everything has depth but doesn’t have character.

How I got the assets and the lazers was on a website where you can download free assets that are pre-coded and also get walls. So for the picking up items, I coded a little more into it so that when you walk over them it automatically picks them up.

For the terrain I just did the same but did something else. I went and manually placed every wall. The wall placement is really difficult because it’s hard to get every shape perfect.

How It Was Made: This Website

The first thing I did was get all the tools I would need for the website. After that I got the domain and a website template. Then before I even started building the website I started making the content (like images and paragraphs) so that I could have enough time with Carson to design the website. After that, I started to add the content and design the website. I added images, logos, and much more. Once that was done I added a link to the game and added the finishing touches.
